What is Guard Interval?
GI refers to the amount of time between the transmission of data frames.
Guard Interval (GI) refers to the amount of time in between the transmission of frames. A data frame, or simply called a “frame” is a package of data exchanged between wireless devices.
It’s generally recommended that you maintain a short GI. Otherwise said, you should set a relatively short amount of time between the transmission of data frames.
Use Long GI for outdoor spaces, for covering long distances, and high-power links.
